True Singapore Gay Stories Part 2 - Killer Taxi Driver With Mobile

okay here goes part 2, the weekend was a blast. i got drunk, i partied, i met good people and nice friends, it was the best i had felt in years. so lets go to the end of my trip before i rant about the people i met there. the last night i spent in sg, which was technically two nights ago coz it's 1.13AM right now, anyways i hailed a cab to meet 'Drew at Legend so i got into a taxi and told him Tras St, and he said okay...and told me he's not very sure where it is but he knows vaguely where all the pubs are located so being fine with that i minded my own business and i realized i did something wrong. i sat in the front seat again, some shit is going to happen to me but feeling that the driver is pretty cool with his oldies music and tattooed arm, i felt at ease, he's probably str8 and married...GOOD! so halfway through my journey to legend, 'drew called me up and asked me where i was, i told him i was near and then we said okay and hung up. amused and admiring my ringtone which was a woman singing/shrieking pick up the phone several times he chuckled to himself and commented on how funky it was. i was pretty amused that he was amused and then he asked whether i had blue tooth and whether i could send it to him. so i said alright and thinking he could manage holding a phone and driving i switched it on and started sending the ringtone. that was when i realized he couldnt multi-task and his cab was unstable meaning moving to the left...and then the right and the left. i think we got honked at twice. fearing for my life and with trembling fingers i accidently pressed cancel. and he was disappointed and wanted it again. so being me, i sent it again. this time he missed a turning and he decided to go for the turning and the tires screeched for 3 seconds while we were turning right. i've never been in a race before, i've never been in a car that was drifting so i gasped and my heart dropped for that 3 seconds. he laughed it off and was laughing at my cowardliness and i felt bad but he was the worst driver in HISTORY! then he started to make jokes like how the woman in my ringtone sounded like she was being 'kena fucked' (i'm using the exact same line he said to me). using my common courtesy skills/social skills i laughed it off and thank the heavens that my head didnt fly out the window when he drifted his car. so we reached Legend and in that narrow lane he was going quite fast and there was a car infront and i swear i think he did it on purpose to see when i would start peeing in my pants or something, and i was close. damn taxi drivers.

Singapore Flings (or is it Slings?) Part 1 - Taxi Nightmare

i'm back! oh sg is so good. i love sg, it's like my second home. 6 days and 5 nights which i spent drinking till the cows came home and not only that i met alot of great people there as well. but before i continue lemme start by telling a few stories which i encountered which are scary.

it was a good night, i was high and pretty much drunk and i couldnt walk str8. i just saw edwin off in a cab and was smsing colin whilst walking (and trust me it wasnt in a str8 line) when i noticed a cab following me. so being the drunk lord that i am i finished my smsing and got into the cab and told him where to go, back to my apartment. so throughout the journey he kept on talking to me in mandarin which i didnt understand so i told him that and he translated to english what seemed to be mostly sex. i wasnt in a chatty mood and was going to pass out soon but i held on to my handphone for dear life so i just answered in not really interested dialogue like 'oh okay' or 'right' 'mm-hm'. then out of no where he put his hand on my thigh and went so r u gay? i was shocked and quickly smacked his hand away and said what's it to u? being more daring he again stuck his hand out but this time he grabbed my privates and mumbled out some stuff. i was shocked and stoned but i immediately smacked his hand away again and requested to go home otherwise i'm calling my friend 'drew. he said okay and then he this time brought me to a desolated area with trees and it was dark and he said i've got something to show u and then he unzipped his pants and showed me what seemed to be a small erect penis. being disgusted and terrified of being raped and killed i told him off and said either he sends me home or i get out and not pay him and get my friend to pick me up which was quite a daring thing to say coz i didnt know where the heck i was. i raised up my phone and was about to dial andrew's number when he grabbed my phone and punched in his number and called himself. all this while i was stoned, i didnt know what to do, some crazy guy just took my phone! so i snatched it back and quickly ended the call and i was about to get out when he said okay and zipped up and said he would send me home. i kept quiet the whole trip while he was busy ranting on about some crap about having sex with passengers. when i reached home, he said to me 'i'll see u later okay?' and i just grabbed my change and slammed the door and ran to my apartment. when i was up there, my heart was beating, my knees were weak and my mind was racing. and then my mobile rang. i looked at it and an unknown number came up. i picked it up and it was HIM, mister pervy i'll-molest-passengers taxi driver. he told me he was waiting for me downstairs, i quickly ended the call and was freaked out. my mobile rang endlessly so it was time i took action. i called colin and told him my situation and i was in hysterics, he immediately rushed over to accompany me, but by the time he got to my place, the calls had ended. nice colin, he stayed with me the whole night even tho he had work the next day. it was really sweet of him to do that. thank u so much! stupid taxi drivers, i made sure after that i sat in the backseat of the car.

Corpse Bride

i love tim burton, the animation reminds me of the cartoon i used to watch, i cant remember the name of it but it was a green stick made out of play-doh. ^^; but anyways the corpse bride was needless to say was excellent. the darkness within the whole script, and not only that, the grey humour of how life doesnt usually go according to plan sometimes. but the whole unfolding of the story really said something, well at least to me. it's just really sad for emily, i'm trying hard not to reveal or give away the whole plot of the movie but from emily's P.O.V. it was just sad.

but anyways it was a great animation. i love movies/series with dark humour in it, let's just say it's alot more appealing than slapstick humour. you can always tell if it's the work of tim burton coz it really feels like a children's book for adults, and usually there's narration of the story done by someone with a deep voice or singing! i loved how the two separate worlds were contrasted with each other, the world of the dead was alot more colourful whilst the world of the living was very grey and dull.

i guess i rate this movie a 8/10, i would definitely add it to one of my favourite movies list since Nightmare Before Christmas was a definite classic and i loved it to bits. burton never fails to capture my attention and keep me glued onto the screen. i hope his next animation "9" will be just as good.

Six

it's 3.49AM in the morning and i'm still awake. why u ask? coz i have to get to the government office before 8AM and knowing myself i wouldnt be able to wake up in time so i decided not to sleep throughout the whole night. so yes, here i am infront of my computer, my eyes bloodshot and with a cup of coffee on my table. instead of ranting on about why i'm still awake at this hour i decide to talk about the thai horror movie 6.

hmm not very interesting, the movie has no plot and the lead actress has horrifying acting skills. but on the fun side of things there are cute guys (yayyy) who will die (boo~~) but u get to see them throughout the whole movie (yayyy). i didnt really get the whole gist of the story, i only caught bits and pieces which didnt really link up. nah but i wasnt really paying attention to most of it coz i dont think whatever they were saying had to do anything with the subtitles, so it was confusing for a while but the ending really cleared things up. it was more or less trying to capture the audience of The Shutter but did a terrible job in doing so. for those who want a good thrill, dont bother. for those who want to watch cute guys trying to be smart, go for it. all in all i give a 4/10, 1 for the plot and 1 for each cute guy there was. ^_^ heehee!

on the otherhand i'm wondering what to make for a friend's gathering thing, it's not exactly a party, more like a potluck sorta thing. they gave me desert so i'm thinking of going with baking a cake or making brownies. yes i can cook, it comes with 2 years of studying overseas with no one to take care of me (boo~~~). i think i'm gonna stick with fudge brownies, i dont usually eat my own cooking so hopefully it tastes good. and if it doesnt i'll just get a tub of ice cream and whip it up so it'll taste like ice cream cake! ahh i'm so talented like that. so fudge brownies it is, and i'm gonna make it from scratch. whoopie!

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre

just finished rewatching the Texas Chainsaw Massacre and hell it freaked me out good. i wonder if it was an actual story or if there was a similar story behind it coz it said there that it was based on a true story but then again so did the Blair Witch Project.

oh right, for newcomers or people who are fans of my diary (which is probably next to nothing) i'm a HUGEEEE horror movie fanatic. i love getting scared and grabbing on to my pillow and instead of closing my eyes or looking away, i have a weird habit of cupping my ears so i dont hear anything. in my defense i like watching the grotesque parts but i dont like listening to the freaky parts.

so right, watching the TCM got me thinking about other horror movies. it's such a cliche that stupid teenagers dont know any better and go snooping around for trouble, pondering about it for a while, i think those kids deserve to die. hell if a bunch of jackass teens came into my house without my permission or came to see whether there were any spooky stuff in my place i would be pissed. so we cant really blame the monsters/ghoulies/horribly disfigured large men for going around and picking them off one by one.

and oh gosh there's always ONE or TWO annoying little brats who wouldnt listen or annoys the *TOOT* out of ya, like the guy in glasses in TCM, i mean some guy is after u for heaven's sake, stop moping around and start RUNNING (if it was me, i'd be flailing my hands and running in circles screaming 'go away go away')! u see what i mean about people deserving to get slaughtered? i mean a running chainsaw up ur groins isnt exactly how i pictured it to be but it served it's purpose.

oh i might as well start reviewing horror movies...so what do i give the Texas Chainsaw Massacre?
a whooping 8/10

*not for the faint hearted* it's got blood, it's got girls with big bobbing boobs in tight singlets, it's good

No. of Cigarettes: 15
No. of Movies Watched: 4
Anger Level: Minimum
Stress Level: Minimum
Current Mood: Mellow

i had just finished watching The Exorcism of Emily Rose when i heard my own voice behind me, and trust me that freaked the hell out of me and this was at 3 something in the morning. i was waiting for a friend of mine to touchdown from sydney and he was supposed to call me, so while waiting for him i decided to watch the 40 year old virgin, doom and the E.o.E.R i didnt go thru much of the 40 year old virgin so i held that out for later and watched EoER instead. so right, i finished the movie and i swore i heard my name being called out by my own voice. that really freaked me out and i didnt sleep till the morning rays shined into my room.

anyways scary things aside, my friend's flight was delayed for an hour and i didnt know about it so i got a call at around 5AM in the morning which scared the bejeezes out of me. so i spoke to him and he came over to my place and then slept for a while, this was around 6 something in the morning. at least there was someone beside me to protect me from any ghosts or ghoulies, or if he cant then let them take him first. huahahah

right today was a slow and easy day, i pretty much lazed about the whole day talking on the phone and sending my friend to get stuff for me when i found out, i pretty much like hanging out at home so instead of going out tonite for that Madonna thing, i'm deciding to stay at home and rot in my PeeJays. no dragging me out. heehee

so okay, jonathan's a nice guy. i dont mind going out on dates with him but i dont think i'm ready for a full blown relationship yet. actually i dont think i'll ever be ready for relationships ever again. so is it wrong for me to just date him and not tell him that? yes it is so i decided to tell him and the next 30 minutes i was explaining to him why i didnt want one, then the next 30 minutes he was trying to convince me otherwise. i dont think i can be persuaded into doing stuff that i dont want (NOT ANYMORE OKAY?!?!) so yeah we decided to just take things slowly and date. so what's the definition of dating? starting to see people non-exclusively. that's what the definition is in my books. so i'm allowed to see other people as well rite? RIGHT?
