Corpse Bride

i love tim burton, the animation reminds me of the cartoon i used to watch, i cant remember the name of it but it was a green stick made out of play-doh. ^^; but anyways the corpse bride was needless to say was excellent. the darkness within the whole script, and not only that, the grey humour of how life doesnt usually go according to plan sometimes. but the whole unfolding of the story really said something, well at least to me. it's just really sad for emily, i'm trying hard not to reveal or give away the whole plot of the movie but from emily's P.O.V. it was just sad.

but anyways it was a great animation. i love movies/series with dark humour in it, let's just say it's alot more appealing than slapstick humour. you can always tell if it's the work of tim burton coz it really feels like a children's book for adults, and usually there's narration of the story done by someone with a deep voice or singing! i loved how the two separate worlds were contrasted with each other, the world of the dead was alot more colourful whilst the world of the living was very grey and dull.

i guess i rate this movie a 8/10, i would definitely add it to one of my favourite movies list since Nightmare Before Christmas was a definite classic and i loved it to bits. burton never fails to capture my attention and keep me glued onto the screen. i hope his next animation "9" will be just as good.
