Happy New Year everybody! so i just came back from taiwan/shenzhen/hong kong and i had an alright time there. i think it's becoz i was travelling with my family which made it extremely boring but i got to spend some quality time with the parentals, my sister, my aunt and my grandfather.
so i was pretty much visiting temples and villages in taiwan, it wasnt as cold as i expected it to be. it was horribly boring there, my baby was alright with me going to this club called...Funky i think. wow talk about dodgy. clubs which are located at the basement level playing chinese songs at 250bpm...yeah that's what i call dodgy. actually i could imagine going down there and having a drink with friends IF i had any there, maybe that was the IT factor which made it utterly boring, i had no friends there and plus i was travelling with my family. so x-mas eve and x-mas day came and went, taipei i found wasnt exactly really popular with bars but they love their karaoke. so a suggestion for future travellers going to taiwan, make sure u got friends there and dont expect much apart from moderately good food unless u like visiting temples.
shenzhen came and went as well, there was nothing much to do there as my mother was shopping for curtains which i had to carry from the shop down to my hotel. with an aching back and sprained foot i do not advise anyone to go through what i went through. anyways where i stayed there was alot of prostitution going on, gigolos and prozzies are bold, they would come up to u and ask u in chinese whether u wanted to be "happy". hahaha now the highlight of the whole shenzhen trip is watching my grandfather get harrassed by them, harrassed meaning they followed him around and asked him for "happiness" and his phone number. hahaha!
hong kong was good. i met up with erica and zen and kei kei and anna. it was pretty cool but i only got to see them for a day coz we stayed there for only 2 days. yeah but throughout the whole holiday i was missing my baby loads. i won this monkey doll and dressed him up like my marcus and slept with it throughout the whole time i was there. anyways i gotta run, update ya next time diary!

Marcus & Me
i dont know what to feel. yesterday night was absolutely blurry apart from the first part of the night which was arriving at LQ, dressed horribly. so i woke up today with marcus next to me. i felt...full, complete. i missed him so much and having him lying next to me just felt so wonderful. there's just so many things i wanted to say, but i dare not say it, i'm just really scared i might screw things up if i said something wrong. we later met up with jo wen and her friends at Redbox and...it just felt weird. i love him so much but it felt like we were strangers coz we broke up for so long. i want to forget about the past and look forward to the future. i dont care anymore...i used to be insecure and i still am, but i just dont want our pasts to get in the way anymore. i dont know what's going on with us, whether we are together again or what but i really wish that we really are together again. i just missed him so much these past few months...

Heren HMV
i remember sitting and reading Dan Brown's Angel & Demons for the whole day, sometime when i was in sg. hahah yes i'm still ranting on about it coz alot of things happened. what a cruisy little place it was! but me being conservative i didnt like attention, especially when i had my 'armour' on, and by armour i mean my book, my cigarettes, a glass of iced tea and my mobile on silent. so there i was, sitting and reading the best book i've ever read and got me hooked on to it for days when i saw the most gorgeous looking guy (well to me...i have weird taste). my jaws dropped and i swear a fly went in and went out and i didnt even notice.
wow...he was so pretty it made me want to cry. well i was trying hard not to look but it was distracting especially when he was sitting at my 11'o'clock so being me i stole glances here and there, and he caught me looking a few times and being utterly embarrassed at him realizing i was gawking at him with my mouth wide open, i drank my iced tea, nearly choked on it, stuffed all my belongings into my bag and ran to the bathroom with my cheeks burning red. i wouldnt go back until he left, so i went around window shopping for a minute and waited at the fountain area till he left the cafe.
gosh the most embarrassing moment of my life...well at least i got something out of it...heh heh heh!

True Singapore Gay Stories Part 2 - Killer Taxi Driver With Mobile
okay here goes part 2, the weekend was a blast. i got drunk, i partied, i met good people and nice friends, it was the best i had felt in years. so lets go to the end of my trip before i rant about the people i met there. the last night i spent in sg, which was technically two nights ago coz it's 1.13AM right now, anyways i hailed a cab to meet 'Drew at Legend so i got into a taxi and told him Tras St, and he said okay...and told me he's not very sure where it is but he knows vaguely where all the pubs are located so being fine with that i minded my own business and i realized i did something wrong. i sat in the front seat again, some shit is going to happen to me but feeling that the driver is pretty cool with his oldies music and tattooed arm, i felt at ease, he's probably str8 and married...GOOD! so halfway through my journey to legend, 'drew called me up and asked me where i was, i told him i was near and then we said okay and hung up. amused and admiring my ringtone which was a woman singing/shrieking pick up the phone several times he chuckled to himself and commented on how funky it was. i was pretty amused that he was amused and then he asked whether i had blue tooth and whether i could send it to him. so i said alright and thinking he could manage holding a phone and driving i switched it on and started sending the ringtone. that was when i realized he couldnt multi-task and his cab was unstable meaning moving to the left...and then the right and the left. i think we got honked at twice. fearing for my life and with trembling fingers i accidently pressed cancel. and he was disappointed and wanted it again. so being me, i sent it again. this time he missed a turning and he decided to go for the turning and the tires screeched for 3 seconds while we were turning right. i've never been in a race before, i've never been in a car that was drifting so i gasped and my heart dropped for that 3 seconds. he laughed it off and was laughing at my cowardliness and i felt bad but he was the worst driver in HISTORY! then he started to make jokes like how the woman in my ringtone sounded like she was being 'kena fucked' (i'm using the exact same line he said to me). using my common courtesy skills/social skills i laughed it off and thank the heavens that my head didnt fly out the window when he drifted his car. so we reached Legend and in that narrow lane he was going quite fast and there was a car infront and i swear i think he did it on purpose to see when i would start peeing in my pants or something, and i was close. damn taxi drivers.
Singapore Flings (or is it Slings?) Part 1 - Taxi Nightmare
i'm back! oh sg is so good. i love sg, it's like my second home. 6 days and 5 nights which i spent drinking till the cows came home and not only that i met alot of great people there as well. but before i continue lemme start by telling a few stories which i encountered which are scary.
it was a good night, i was high and pretty much drunk and i couldnt walk str8. i just saw edwin off in a cab and was smsing colin whilst walking (and trust me it wasnt in a str8 line) when i noticed a cab following me. so being the drunk lord that i am i finished my smsing and got into the cab and told him where to go, back to my apartment. so throughout the journey he kept on talking to me in mandarin which i didnt understand so i told him that and he translated to english what seemed to be mostly sex. i wasnt in a chatty mood and was going to pass out soon but i held on to my handphone for dear life so i just answered in not really interested dialogue like 'oh okay' or 'right' 'mm-hm'. then out of no where he put his hand on my thigh and went so r u gay? i was shocked and quickly smacked his hand away and said what's it to u? being more daring he again stuck his hand out but this time he grabbed my privates and mumbled out some stuff. i was shocked and stoned but i immediately smacked his hand away again and requested to go home otherwise i'm calling my friend 'drew. he said okay and then he this time brought me to a desolated area with trees and it was dark and he said i've got something to show u and then he unzipped his pants and showed me what seemed to be a small erect penis. being disgusted and terrified of being raped and killed i told him off and said either he sends me home or i get out and not pay him and get my friend to pick me up which was quite a daring thing to say coz i didnt know where the heck i was. i raised up my phone and was about to dial andrew's number when he grabbed my phone and punched in his number and called himself. all this while i was stoned, i didnt know what to do, some crazy guy just took my phone! so i snatched it back and quickly ended the call and i was about to get out when he said okay and zipped up and said he would send me home. i kept quiet the whole trip while he was busy ranting on about some crap about having sex with passengers. when i reached home, he said to me 'i'll see u later okay?' and i just grabbed my change and slammed the door and ran to my apartment. when i was up there, my heart was beating, my knees were weak and my mind was racing. and then my mobile rang. i looked at it and an unknown number came up. i picked it up and it was HIM, mister pervy i'll-molest-passengers taxi driver. he told me he was waiting for me downstairs, i quickly ended the call and was freaked out. my mobile rang endlessly so it was time i took action. i called colin and told him my situation and i was in hysterics, he immediately rushed over to accompany me, but by the time he got to my place, the calls had ended. nice colin, he stayed with me the whole night even tho he had work the next day. it was really sweet of him to do that. thank u so much! stupid taxi drivers, i made sure after that i sat in the backseat of the car.

Corpse Bride
i love tim burton, the animation reminds me of the cartoon i used to watch, i cant remember the name of it but it was a green stick made out of play-doh. ^^; but anyways the corpse bride was needless to say was excellent. the darkness within the whole script, and not only that, the grey humour of how life doesnt usually go according to plan sometimes. but the whole unfolding of the story really said something, well at least to me. it's just really sad for emily, i'm trying hard not to reveal or give away the whole plot of the movie but from emily's P.O.V. it was just sad.
but anyways it was a great animation. i love movies/series with dark humour in it, let's just say it's alot more appealing than slapstick humour. you can always tell if it's the work of tim burton coz it really feels like a children's book for adults, and usually there's narration of the story done by someone with a deep voice or singing! i loved how the two separate worlds were contrasted with each other, the world of the dead was alot more colourful whilst the world of the living was very grey and dull.
i guess i rate this movie a 8/10, i would definitely add it to one of my favourite movies list since Nightmare Before Christmas was a definite classic and i loved it to bits. burton never fails to capture my attention and keep me glued onto the screen. i hope his next animation "9" will be just as good.

Six
it's 3.49AM in the morning and i'm still awake. why u ask? coz i have to get to the government office before 8AM and knowing myself i wouldnt be able to wake up in time so i decided not to sleep throughout the whole night. so yes, here i am infront of my computer, my eyes bloodshot and with a cup of coffee on my table. instead of ranting on about why i'm still awake at this hour i decide to talk about the thai horror movie 6.
hmm not very interesting, the movie has no plot and the lead actress has horrifying acting skills. but on the fun side of things there are cute guys (yayyy) who will die (boo~~) but u get to see them throughout the whole movie (yayyy). i didnt really get the whole gist of the story, i only caught bits and pieces which didnt really link up. nah but i wasnt really paying attention to most of it coz i dont think whatever they were saying had to do anything with the subtitles, so it was confusing for a while but the ending really cleared things up. it was more or less trying to capture the audience of The Shutter but did a terrible job in doing so. for those who want a good thrill, dont bother. for those who want to watch cute guys trying to be smart, go for it. all in all i give a 4/10, 1 for the plot and 1 for each cute guy there was. ^_^ heehee!
on the otherhand i'm wondering what to make for a friend's gathering thing, it's not exactly a party, more like a potluck sorta thing. they gave me desert so i'm thinking of going with baking a cake or making brownies. yes i can cook, it comes with 2 years of studying overseas with no one to take care of me (boo~~~). i think i'm gonna stick with fudge brownies, i dont usually eat my own cooking so hopefully it tastes good. and if it doesnt i'll just get a tub of ice cream and whip it up so it'll taste like ice cream cake! ahh i'm so talented like that. so fudge brownies it is, and i'm gonna make it from scratch. whoopie!
